Sparkle and Shine

Digi image:  From the Heart Stamps 'Shine'.  Cardstock:  Basic Black, Neenah white, Paper Studio 'Uptown Flair'.  Ink:  Copics.
Welcome to this week's I {heart} sketch challenge #64!

The added twist for this week is paper piecing, so I used this sparkly polka dot DP to add some bling to this cutie's dress:

'Shine' is a new image which is part of a fundraiser for a precious little girl, Lauren.  Read more about her story HERE and see all the fun goodies you will receive along with this image when you make a donation to her very important cause.

Birdbrain Belated Birthday

Digi image and sentiments:  From the Heart Stamps 'Birdbrain Balloon'.  Cardstock:  SU Wild Wasabi, black, Neenah white, Paper Studio Uptown Flair'.  Ink:  Copics.
The belated birthday theme of this card is rather appropriate since I'm also late for posting about this week's sketch challenge!  I think I'll stock up on belated cards ...

From the Heart's I {heart} sketch #63:

Sketch063.jpg
The sketch has the added optional twist of an inspiration photo; I chose to go with the hot pink and green colors, along with birds.  Check out the photo in the sketch post or here.

The sentiments that are included with 'Birdbrain Balloon' are funny and way too appropriate for me:

Now I'm off to complete the next belated item on my To Do list....

Marking Spring

Digi image:  From the Heart Stamps 'Spring Medley'. Cardstock:  Kraft, Black, Certainly Celery, Paper Studio 'Sweet Stack' and purple polka dots.  Coloring media:  Prismacolor pencils.  Accessories:  Sizzix embossing folder
Welcome to From the Heart Stamps' I{heart} sketches #62!  This week's fun sketch has the added challenge of no cards allowed:

I chose to create a bookmark with the Stamp of Month 'Spring Medley', but realized that it can also be used a gift tag for Easter goodies, too:
Since I missed the added challenge of coloring on kraft with last week's sketch, I decided to give it a try -- fun, fun!  And it also allowed me to break out the pencils that have been severely neglected in favor of Copics.

Spring Medley was free in April for everyone who participated in March's Stamp of the Month challenge; it is discounted for a bargain $1.62 for a limited time now.  Be sure to join in this month so you will receive May's image for free!  Read all the challenge details HERE.

Congrats, Smarty Pants!

Image and Sentiment:  From the Heart Stamps 'Birdbrain Graduate'.  Cardstock:  SU yellow, Neenah white, Glitz 'Vintag Blue'.  Ink:  Copics, Stardust glitter pen. Grosgrain ribbon:  SU.
Monday means it's time for another fun I {heart} sketch!  This week Sketch 61 has the added twist of coloring on Kraft which I totally spaced (to show my 80s upbringing).  Too bad because I really want to try that technique!
My excuse is that I was so excited to use this adorable 'Birdbrain Graduate' digi to create a card for our eldest who is graduating high school in a few short weeks that I completely forgot about the bonus challenge.  That's OK, though, because you can use just the sketch, too, so join us!
Anyone who has seen the cards I've made in the past few weeks is probably starting to think I only have a couple collections of DP, but this this Glitz pack is SO perfect because navy and gold are the graduate's school colors.

Next card I promise to break out a new DP pack because there are plenty more collecting dust in the craft room!

If you have arrived from the From the Heart Stamps blog, you are in the right place!

Here is my project, using Rainy Day Birdbrains:
Image and Sentiments:  Digi 'Rainy Day Birdbrains'.  Cardstock:  MFT solid, DCWV 'Citrus glitter stack', Neenah white.  Ink:  Copics, Stardust glitter pen.  Tools:  Spellbinders circle dies.
Sketch inspiration is courtesy of I {heart} sketches #60 where there is still plenty of time to join the fun:

The twist for this week is to add lots of glitter.  The Citrus Stack DP was conveniently glittered and I also added Stardust accents to the raindrops:

Now head over to Jo and see what they have created.

Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Monday April 7th at 6am, EST. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday April 9th.
