Paper Pretties' Challenge: Glitter!

Stamps: Paper Pretties 'Lady Sophia', My Sentiments Exactly sentiment. Cardstock: PTI chocolate and white, unknown source glitter DP. Ink: Memento black, Copics. Accessories: Long rectangles Nestabilties, American Crafts ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Stardust glitter pen.

This week's Paper Pretties' Wednesday challenge is to use glitter and who deserves more glitter than a princess like Lady Sophia? Both her veil and slippers sparkle with Dazzling Diamonds while the DP on the background also sports lines of pink sparkle.

Thanks to my Secret Sis from a previous SCS swap, Momma Patti, for sending me this gorgeous DP!

The sketch is my take on SCS Sketch Challenge #291. It's been so long since I've played along and it was fun to join back in with today's inspiring sketch.

Be sure to play in this week's challenge at the Paper Pretties' blog -- the winner recieves a free stamp, Wade E. Bug!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #56: Christmas in July!

Stamps by DRS Designs: Snowflake Wreath, Snow Background, Beauty of Nature Christmas Greeting. Ink: Night of navy, versamark. Cardstock: Textured white, Night of Navy, Bashful Blue. Accessories: Stardust EP, red organdy ribbon, glitter snowflake brads.

Welcome to the final week of our Tuesday Morning Sketches' blogoversary celebration! We're taking a look back at previous sketches with the theme this week of 'Christmas in July', sponsored by DRS Designs.

For my card, I chose the fourth Tuesday Morning sketch:

This beautiful snowflake wreath (especially nice with glittered EP sparkle which never seems to photograph well) also coordinates with Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge #34 wreath theme:

Paper Pretties Challenge: Non-traditional Christmas Colors!

Stamps: Paper Pretties sentiments 'For your Kindness' (inside). Cardstock: Memory Box beach collection, textured white, Night of Navy. Ink: Night of Navy. Accessories: snowflake brad, Martha Stewart 'Branch' punch.

To celebrate Paper Pretties' very first Wednesday challenge, Jackie chose a 'Christmas in July' theme with a spin: use non-traditional Christmas colors. Can you believe this paper is actually a beach pack? Other prints include flip-flops, but these patterns paired with a snowflake brad and pine boughs end up with a holiday flair that I still tolerate when it's 110 heat index outside!

Be sure to play along for your chance to win awesome goodies. Then stay tuned for upcoming exciting changes (and more prize opportunities) at the Pretties' Boutique!

Christmas Card Challenge #33: Stuffed with Love!

Stamps: Stampabilties House Mouse image, Papertrey 'Signature Christmas' sentiment. Cardstock: Papertrey white, textured red, white linen, Basic Grey 'Figgy Pudding'. Ink: Memento black, Riding Hood Red, Copics. Accessories: circle Nestabilities, flocking.

It seems like forever since I've been able to play in any challenges, but this week I was able to join in Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge #33 and use one of my favorite images, a House Mouse, to boot!

Sparkle's challenge this week is an inspiration photo featuring a line of stockings. I used this stocking image in Clean and Simple's Fall-To sketch #92 and applied flocking to the stocking for a touchable effect:

One more card to add to my holiday card stash!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #55: A Taste of Summer

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff digi set 'Strawberry and Watermelon', Papertrey sentiment. Cardstock: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, SU 'Bella Rose, GP 110 white. Ink: Copics. Accessories: Circle and Square Nestabilities, Bazzill grosgrain ribbon.

Welcome to the third week of our Tuesday Morning Sketches' blogoversary celebration! We're taking a look back at previous sketches with the theme this week of 'What Reminds You of Summer'. For me, there's nothing that quite signals the beginning of summer like fresh-picked strawberries. Add in a little gingham and that's my definition of summer.

Isn't this basket full of strawberries sweet?

Especially when the basket is paper-pieced in coordinating DP. These yummy berries work perfectly for this week's Order of the Opus Gluei challenge #64: ' What's Cookin' food theme. Someone pass the Strawberry-Rhubarb pie, please!

Our TMS sponsor this week is the amazing digi artist, Lindsay, of Lindsay's Stamp Suff. The 'Strawberry and Watermelon' digi set includes seven different scrumptious fruity images available in both PNG and JPEG for only $4.

My card is based on the third Tuesday Morning Sketch:

And here's my original card from a year ago with 'Christmas in July' spin:

Stamps: Papertrey 'Holiday Wishes'. Cardstock: Real Red, CM green, Daisy D's 'Paisley Sugarplum'. Ink: Versamark. Accessories: Mary Engelbreit Dimensional Sticker, white detail EP, dotted green satin ribbon, circle Nestabilities, SU scallop border punch.

Happy First Blogaversary, Tuesday Morning Sketches!

Stamps: Stampabilities House Mouse, Papertrey 'Green Thumb' sentiment. Cardstock: textured white, Stampin Up DP, Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink. Ink: Memento black, Close to Cocoa, Copics. Accessories: oval Nestabilities, satin ribbon, Stardust glitter pen.

July is the month to celebrate a full year of Tuesday Morning Sketches! To start the festivities, Melissa is sponsoring this week's challenge. How do you play along? Choose any of the previous Tuesday Morning Sketches and link your creation HERE!

For my card, I chose the very first Tuesday Morning Sketch:

I've played along since the very beginning --- here's my House Mouse card from last year. I'd planned to use the same sketch and even a House Mouse theme, but I didn't realize until after posting the blogaversary card that I had used the same exact image; it's obviously one of my favorites!
