Tuesday Morning Sketches #56: Pumpkin Fun

Stamps: Robyn's Fetish digi image 'Five Pumpkin Friends', DRS Designs sentiment. Cardstock: Olive textured, Memory Keepers and Paper Studio DP, GP110 white. Ink: Copics, Versamark black. Accessories: circle, long rectangle, and tag Nestabilities, double-stitched grosgrain.

Here is our sketch for this week:

The layout coordinated perfectly with the digi theme, so I kept my card very close to the original inspiration, only adding the ribbon tag for a sentiment.

Our sponsor is Robyn's Fetish, a creator of this Five Pumpkin Friends digi as well as fairies, cute critters, and much more!

Paper Pretties Sponsors Oh, Alice Challenge!

Stamps: Paper Pretties 'Lady Sophia', sentiment from 'Imagine'. Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Rose Red, Papertrey white, Basic Grey 'Green at Heart' DP. Ink: Memento, Copics, Purely Pomegranate. Accessories: Long rectangle Nestabilties, primas, Papertrey button, Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

This week Paper Pretties is sponsoring the fun and quirky challenge blog, 'Oh, Alice!'. The theme is 'little girls' and perfect for Lady Sophia because doesn't every little girl dream of being a princess? I must have been in frog mode when I colored her little bird, but let's just pretend it's very green parakeet:

This adorable gal is now on sale at Paper Pretties for only $5, including a fun 'kiss a lot of frogs' sentiment. I paper-pieced her gown with this sweet print in the perfect 'girly' colors of Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz inspired by Color Throwdown #107.

The sketch inspiration is courtesy of Mercy's Tuesday Sketch challenge #88 and even kept the flower element because every princess needs a few blooms! Flowers and gems -- Sophia has Dazzling Diamond accents on her gown, too!

Big thanks going out to my generous stamping buddies Tracy for sharing her Papertrey buttons and Patti for sending an awesome selection of the new In Colors!

Be sure to stop by the Paper Pretties blog and Oh, Alice! for more inspiration to celebrate your inner child!! Play along for your chance to win -- Paper Pretties is offering a Prize of rubber stamps to ONE lucky winner!

Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge: Back to School!

Stamps: Paper Pretties 'Go Team!'. Cardstock: Ballet Blue, black, Kiwi Kiss, Papertrey white, Memory Box 'Beach'. Ink: Memento black, Versafine Onyx, Copics. Accessories: white grosgrain ribbon, rectangle Nestabilities, black brads.

It's time for Paper Pretties' Wednesday challenge! This week's challenge is 'Back to School' -- create a project that reminds you of school days!

For my card, I used the Sweet Stop sketch #70 with the spin 'Think School'. This little cheerleader from the recently released 'Go Team' set definitely has school spirit:

Tuesday Morning Sketches #55: Retro Elf

Stamps: Bella Digi Studio 'Flit 'n Dill' set. Cardstock: Soft Sky, Old Olive, Papertrey white, Basic Grey 'Eskimo Kisses'. Ink: Memento black, Copics. Accessories: Nestabilities Ovals and circles, Dazzling Diamonds, glitter pens, Martha Stewart branch border punch, Marvy mini flower punch.

Welcome to the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge! Here is this week's sketch:

I rotated the sketch to a vertical orientation and used the branch punch as my flourish element.

Our sponsor this week is Bella Digi Studio which provided this adorable elf and fairy image:

Doesn't this little guy have a retro feel, like maybe a Christmas decoration you'd see originating in the 50s? That's how he seemed to me, especially paired with the non-traditional holiday colors and old-fashioned ornaments of this Basic Grey DP 'Eskimo Kisses', perfect for Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge #38 'Vintage/Retro' theme!

It might be a little difficult to see in the larger photos, but there's a little fairy as part of this Christmas scene, too. I added glitter to his wings because every fairy needs a little sparkle, right?

Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge: Colors of Summer!

Stamps: Paper Pretties 'Swing on By Sophia'. Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Blue, Papertrey white, Memory Box 'Beach'. Ink: Memento black, Copics, Wild Wasabi. Accessories: square Nestabilities, Bazzill dotted organdy.

Welcome to this the Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge! This week's challenge is to use a color combo that reminds you of Summer -- for me that color combo is grass green and the blue of clear skies. And what could be more Summer fun than swinging in your favorite tree swing?

This fun Sophia is one of the brand-new Paper Pretties' releases named 'Swing on By Sophia'. I paper-pieced her dress to coordinate with the very summery 'Beach' DP -- can you see the flip flops on the panel underneath the image?

The sketch is inspired by Friday Sketchers #115 -- the slightly tilted panel was perfect for a swing theme and a peek at those flip flops, too!

Tuesday Morning Sketches: Pocket Fairy

Stamps: Paper Pretties 'Garden Fairy'. Cardstock: Glitz 'Maya' DP, Papertrey white. Ink: Memento black, Copics, Night of Navy, Melon Mambo. Accessories: Martha Stewart doily, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Bazzill dotted white organdy, green grosgrain, SU tab punch, long rectangle Nestabilities.

This week's Tuesday Morning sketch is actually a fold technique, the Diagonal Pocket card (Splitcoaststampers' tutorial HERE), sponsored by Paper Pretties. My card is a variation on the original technique so that the card opens to reveal additional space for personal sentiments:

Paper Pretties just celebrated its grand re-opening with the release of 12 new stamp sets, including this adorable 'Garden Fairy':

Her wings are very sparkly with Dazzling Diamonds, but I have a terrible time photographing glitter -- any recommendations so the sparkle actually shows up in photographs?

This sweet stamp is only $8 and comes with five sentiments which I used to help decorate this card's various enclosures, including a bookmark and tabbed sentiment sheet:

This project also qualifies for this week's Order of the Opus Gluei challenge #68: You've Got It, Move It! Jana and Rosemark challenged us to 'bust our stashes', that is to actually use some of our neglected supplies. I dusted off my Martha Stewart doilies that I've been admiring from afar, as well as this pink dotted ribbon that I've had for years!

And you can shop now without fear, if you happen to win a set you already purchased (you know you can't resist these amazing new images!), you may substitute a different set of equal or lesser value in its place.

Isn't this chicken face worth a giggle? And fun to color, too, although I could use some chicken coloring lessons because my attempts to create a Bantam look-alike resulted in something more along the lines of a turkey ...

Sketch inspiration for this card is Taylored Expression's Sketch challenge #123 with the twine filling in for one image element -- it adds to the barn feel, right?

It's time for another sneak peek of the new Paper Pretties' stamps to be released on August 12th and I'm combining this peek with the Wednesday challenge to use ribbon! I'm a big fan of ribbon and usually feature it wrapped around the whole card. For today's challenge, I decided to feature two different ribbons on the tag portion of this Friday Sketchers sketch #114.

Isn't this dragon image adorable? And so much fun to color, too. I added the bit of sparkle every mythical creature deserves by accenting her beautiful wings with Dazzling Diamonds glitter:
