For my card, I went with the sketch as drawn, but expanding the focal image box a bit to accommodate this brand new fun image 'Five Party Birds'.  The extra twist is Watercoloring; after I finished the card I wished I'd tried some of the fun backgrounds techniques I've admired on other crafting blogs!

For my card, I used the sketch as is, obsessing over the triangles.  I think I'm more a straight line kind of gal because I had to cut the DP several times to get even close to the right slope!  The twist is to use your favorite technique which in my case is lack of techniques, otherwise known as Clean and Simple.

For my card, I went with the sketch as drawn, but after I adhered all my little strips of DP I realized the image was positioned a bit too high.  Although I seriously considered trimming the white space and turning it into a square care I decided to add a sentiment instead, leaving more space on the inside for a personal sentiment!
