Here's my confession: I wasn't really planning on making this card, but was guilted into it. Eldest DD is graduating from 8th grade today -- hurray! She's a great student and an all-around great kid, but we really weren't planning on making a big deal out of the occasion. After all, it IS only 8th grade, right? I'm all about recognizing milestones, but if we make a big deal about this graduation, what is expected for high school graduation?
Anyway, a friend gave DD a fun card, so I kinda felt like Mom and Dad should, too. Thank goodness for Fall-To Sketch #90 which was great for some quick inspiration. I used school colors and threw in a bit of sparkle:
And just so you know the lack of enthusiasm isn't just mine, DD is still planning on going back to her school next week to help out with the lower grades and other special events. She really is a good kid and obviously not resting on her laurels of completing 8th grade!

ReplyDeleteI don't mind an 8th grade graduation - you won't get guilted into a car or pony or anything like that right? LOL
