Is That a Mouse on Your Cupcake??

Stamps: Stampabilities 'Birthday Cupcake', Hero Arts 'Cupcakes'. Ink: Versafine Onyx black. Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Basic Grey 'Cupcake' DP. Accessories: Prismacolor pencils, turpenoid, Basic Grey 'Gypsy' ribbon, Stardust glitter pen, square, circle, and long rectangle Nestabilities .

KL Scrappin' N Stampin' is sponsoring today's challenge on the House Mouse & Friends blog and to make it even more fun, the challenge is a sketch, my all-time favorite challenge! Here's the sketch:
What a perfect sketch for showcasing DPs, Nestabilities, and of course, mice!

Isn't it funny that both of the stamps and the DP I used are all named 'Cupcake'? I didn't realize it until I was typing the description, but maybe that's why they all went together so easily! I've been into paper piecing lately (reverting to my paper dolls days??), and you can see in this detail photo that the frosting and cupcake liner are both pieced:

**KLSNS is sponsoring a March Paper Piecing Challenge on Paper Craft Planet. The prize includes a Basic Grey 6" x 6" pack of DP and a Magnolia stamp, so be sure to join the fun for a chance to win these goodies!

This card started out a little heavier in the Designer Paper department because once I open a Basic Grey pack, it's hard to leave any of those coordinating papers behind. I realize, though, that my favorite cards are those that are less cluttered. I managed to decrease the printed papers, but I couldn't resist adding a touch of sparkle to the 'Fun' in the sentiment:

Be sure to stop by the House Mouse & Friends Blog today. Their Design Team features incredible talent and you can't beat the cute factor of a House Mouse card, always good for a smile!

  12. Hi, Jessica - you girls totally rocked the sketch challenge at HM. Your card is fabulous, and I'm realizing that I'm doing mine out of the same pack of papers, only different ones. The endless possibilities.... I just checked and noticed there are only 5 submissions to the Tilda paper piecing challenge. If I had the time I could do that challenge all day long. Thanks for doing it - I'd love to do another if I weren't leaving on vacation. Anyway, great card for the HM challenge.
