Tuesday Morning Sketches #55: A Taste of Summer

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff digi set 'Strawberry and Watermelon', Papertrey sentiment. Cardstock: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, SU 'Bella Rose, GP 110 white. Ink: Copics. Accessories: Circle and Square Nestabilities, Bazzill grosgrain ribbon.

Welcome to the third week of our Tuesday Morning Sketches' blogoversary celebration! We're taking a look back at previous sketches with the theme this week of 'What Reminds You of Summer'. For me, there's nothing that quite signals the beginning of summer like fresh-picked strawberries. Add in a little gingham and that's my definition of summer.

Isn't this basket full of strawberries sweet?

Especially when the basket is paper-pieced in coordinating DP. These yummy berries work perfectly for this week's Order of the Opus Gluei challenge #64: ' What's Cookin' food theme. Someone pass the Strawberry-Rhubarb pie, please!

Our TMS sponsor this week is the amazing digi artist, Lindsay, of Lindsay's Stamp Suff. The 'Strawberry and Watermelon' digi set includes seven different scrumptious fruity images available in both PNG and JPEG for only $4.

My card is based on the third Tuesday Morning Sketch:

And here's my original card from a year ago with 'Christmas in July' spin:

Stamps: Papertrey 'Holiday Wishes'. Cardstock: Real Red, CM green, Daisy D's 'Paisley Sugarplum'. Ink: Versamark. Accessories: Mary Engelbreit Dimensional Sticker, white detail EP, dotted green satin ribbon, circle Nestabilities, SU scallop border punch.
