Saturday Spotlight Challenge #15: Let the Sunshine In!

Stamps: Upsy Daisy, French Script, Hero Arts 'Life with Sunshine'. Cardstock: Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, black. Ink: Versafine Onyx, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Apricot Appeal, Really Rust. Accessories: Martha Stewart zig zag border punch, Bazzill black gingham ribbon.

Are you feeling the winter blues? The past week has brought us nothing but fog and drizzle, creating an all-around dreary atmosphere. To brighten the day.....

The Spotlight Divas would like to challenge you to LET THE SUNSHINE IN!! Since we want to be done with all those wild snowflakes from last week, we thought this week we would ask you to get your bright colors or use mostly "yellow" or monochromatic yellow for your creations this week!

For my challenge card, I decided to go literal and use the sun as a focal point. This image panel is inspired by the talented Michelle Zindorf, but there's actually no brayering involved -- it's all sponging! Check out Michelle's tutorial HERE.

    FANTASTIC Jess!! I love doing this style of stamping but I just don't do it often enough ... thanks for the inspiration!! BEAUTIFUL job on the sponging and the image/sentiment are PERFECT! Again ... FANTASTIC!!

    Jess, I must say that I think this is absolutely incredible dear!! I absolutely love everything about it!! I will certainly need to give it a shot!! Especially if it's brayering.     I have to agree with all the other comments, just stunning, you are very clever, and your attention to detail is awesome, just love the colours how they blend into one another. The ribbon just sets it off.

    Wow, this is really elegant! I thought "Zindorf" as soon as I saw it! Wonderful sponging you did and I like that tiny amount of black; makes things pop!

    This is breathtaking, one of the loveliest creations I've ever seen. The colors look exactly like a real sun set, makes me feel like I'm in Key West. Amazing card Jessica, the touch of black is just perfect to pop those bright yellows and oranges.
