Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge #194: Lucky Punches

Stamps:  Paper Pretties 'Holiday Sweets II'.  Ink:  Memento black, Versafine black, Copics.  Paper:  Old Olive, Certainly Celery prints, Papertrey white, black.  Accessories:  Circle Nestabilities, heart punch.
Our challenge this week is to create a project showcasing die cuts or punches.

For my card, I went with a St. Patrick's Day theme -- all green (maybe too much for cupcakes??) and heart punches assembled into shamrocks.

Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge #193: Fold It

Stamps:  Paper Pretties 'Timeless Love'.  Cardstock:  Black, shimmery Pink, Paper Studio DP.  Ink:  Real Red.  Accessories:  oval Nestabilities, red organdy ribbon.
Our challenge this week is to use a fun FOLD on your project.
For my card, I chose an old favorite, the simple Gate Fold.  So easy, but still impressive.  Plus, it leaves plenty of room inside for the personal message.  Or love letter, since this card was actually planned to be an anniversary card (or belated Valentine)!

Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #133: Valentine Treats


Stamps:  DRS Designs 'Giga Heart Circle', Papertrey 'Mailbox Greetings' sentiment. Cardstock:  We R Memory Keepers 'LoveStruck', Textured red, GP110 white.  Ink:  Riding Hood Red, Versmark.  Accessories:  Winter Wonderland EP, organdy red ribbon, Giga circle punch, SU scallop border punch, Ki Memories 'Puffies' heart.
Here's our sketch for this week's challenge; I imagined it to include a 4"x 4" card plus scrapling, but wait until you see what our DT created!
Since it's a Judged Challenge, there is an added twist.  The twist part of challenge is thrown down by Marie:
2-1-4   (2 ribbons, 1 embellishment, 4 layers)
In honor of the holiday (and since I needed a card/gift for my sweetie!), I went with a Valentine's Day theme and created a box for chocolates along with the scrapling. I used the this TUTORIAL on Splitcoast Stampers for this quick and easy box.

Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge #192: Texture

Stamps:  Paper Pretties 'Fun Quotes'.  Cardstock:  Textured  white, silver, Cool Caribbean.  Ink:  Versafine black.  Accessories:  Ki Memories puffies, Cuttlebug embossing folders, piercing tools.
Our challenge this week is to use TEXTURE on your project.

For my card, I decided to use several different textures starting with textured cardstock, then including felt embellishments, and finishing with piercing.

Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge #191: Ribbon or Twine

Paper Pretties 'Frosty'.  Cardstock:  GP110 white, Papertrey white, Paper Studio 'Happy Hootin' Holidays', Old Olive.  Ink:  Memento black, Copics, Versafine black, Versamark.  Accessories:  Nestabilities rectangles, White Wonderland EP, satin ribbon.
Our challenge this week is to use RIBBON or TWINE on your project.

For my card, I went with a Christmas theme to keep up with our weekly Christmas Card Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. This week's theme by Patti is to create a card using non-traditional holiday colors. Light blue, olive green, and pink should all count, but I had to include a bit of red for the cardinal, right??
