Welcome to Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge #202
Our challenge this week is to create a card for the girls!

Welcome to Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge #200
Our challenge this week is to feature two or more Designer Papers on your project!

For my card, I used three different DPS -- not bad for a CAS card, is it?

This butterfly from the 'Sympathy' set is so beautiful and the 'Cursive Greetings' are one of my favorite sets because they are so versatile!

Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge #198: Flipping for Thanks

Stamps:  Paper Pretties 'Bunny Slippers Sophia'.  Cardstock:  Papertrey white, Paper Studio 'Uptown Flair'.  Ink:  Memento black, Copics, Versamark black.  Accessories:  Long Rectangle Nestabilties, MFT scallop border die, prima, brad.
Our challenge this week is to use a new technique.    For my card, I was inspired by THIS fun flip card by my creative stamping pal, Melissa.  Here's my version where the image and top panel flip up to reveal a second sentiment:
Aren't those bunny slippers too cute??

Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge #196: Manly Cards

Paper Pretties 'Fun Quotes'.  Cardstock:  Chocolate Chip, Basic Grey 'Archaic', textured vanilla.  Ink:  Chocolate Chip.
Our challenge this week is to create a masculine project .

According to the males in my life, these are the requirements for a 'manly' card:
1) NO ribbon or sparkles.
2) NO flowery sentiments, and humor is preferred.

I think I avoided those no-no's fairly well, and stuck with an earthy color combo as a bonus.  This card is intended to be a birthday greeting, so the inside sentiment will read '... Guess that makes you a day older, too!'.  Kind of fits with the 'Archaic' DP, doesn't it??

Sketch is courtesy of Clean & Simple's Fall-To #139.

Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge #195: Favorite Snowflakes

Stamps:  Paper Pretties 'Snowflakes'.  Cardstock:  Baja Breeze, Real Red, SU DP, Papertrey white.  Ink:  Baja Breeze, Real Red, Versafmark, Versafine black.  Accessiories:  Circle Nestabilities, Winter Wonderland EP, organdy and satin ribbons.
Our challenge this week is to create a project showcasing our favorite stamp set.
My favorite set is this elegant 'Snowflakes' -- not only is it pretty, but so versatile! And such a sweet sentiment, too!!  I used the two smallest snowflake images to create this wreath for our Christmas Card challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.  Imke challenged us to create a holiday card featuring both a tag and a wreath.

Stamps:  Paper Pretties 'Holiday Sweets II'.  Ink:  Memento black, Versafine black, Copics.  Paper:  Old Olive, Certainly Celery prints, Papertrey white, black.  Accessories:  Circle Nestabilities, heart punch.
Our challenge this week is to create a project showcasing die cuts or punches.

For my card, I went with a St. Patrick's Day theme -- all green (maybe too much for cupcakes??) and heart punches assembled into shamrocks.

Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge #193: Fold It

Stamps:  Paper Pretties 'Timeless Love'.  Cardstock:  Black, shimmery Pink, Paper Studio DP.  Ink:  Real Red.  Accessories:  oval Nestabilities, red organdy ribbon.
Our challenge this week is to use a fun FOLD on your project.
For my card, I chose an old favorite, the simple Gate Fold.  So easy, but still impressive.  Plus, it leaves plenty of room inside for the personal message.  Or love letter, since this card was actually planned to be an anniversary card (or belated Valentine)!

Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge #191: Ribbon or Twine

Paper Pretties 'Frosty'.  Cardstock:  GP110 white, Papertrey white, Paper Studio 'Happy Hootin' Holidays', Old Olive.  Ink:  Memento black, Copics, Versafine black, Versamark.  Accessories:  Nestabilities rectangles, White Wonderland EP, satin ribbon.
Our challenge this week is to use RIBBON or TWINE on your project.

For my card, I went with a Christmas theme to keep up with our weekly Christmas Card Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. This week's theme by Patti is to create a card using non-traditional holiday colors. Light blue, olive green, and pink should all count, but I had to include a bit of red for the cardinal, right??

Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge #188: Getting Sentimental

Paper Pretties stamps:  Cursive Greetings I and Cursive Greetings II.  Cardstock:  mini DCWV blank cards.  Ink:  Versafine black.  Accessories:  miscellaneous ribbon.
Welcome to Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge #188!

In honor Paper Prettie's January release of two new sentiment sets, our challenge this week is to be sentimental!  In other words, use a favorite saying on your project.

For my cards, I used sentiments, clearanced mini cards, Versafine ink (no embossing required), and ribbon scraps -- super easy and lightning fast, not to mention low cost!

The brand new Cursive Greetings each contain seven versatile sentiments, as well as mini images, all for only $8!

Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge #187: Brads vs. Eyelets?

Stamps:  Paper Pretties 'Frosty'.  Cardstock:  Night of Navy, Silver, Papertrey white, K&Co. 'Let it Snow!' DP.  Ink:  Memento black, Night of Navy, Copics.  Accessories:  snowflake brads, red satin ribbon, Circle Nestabilties.

I'm back!  After a year's leave of absence for our family's move to the new mini farm (and trust me, even a year isn't long enough to be completely organized), I am once again one of the Prettie Girls!!

Welcome to Paper Pretties' Wednesday Challenge #187!

This week's challenge is to create a project using brads or eyelets.  There's no question which embellishment I reach for -- love those brads in all their shapes and colors!  And my noise tolerance really can't handle placing eyelets, although I hear new, silent gadgets are now available?
