Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #133: Valentine Treats

Stamps:  DRS Designs 'Giga Heart Circle', Papertrey 'Mailbox Greetings' sentiment. Cardstock:  We R Memory Keepers 'LoveStruck', Textured red, GP110 white.  Ink:  Riding Hood Red, Versmark.  Accessories:  Winter Wonderland EP, organdy red ribbon, Giga circle punch, SU scallop border punch, Ki Memories 'Puffies' heart.
Here's our sketch for this week's challenge; I imagined it to include a 4"x 4" card plus scrapling, but wait until you see what our DT created!
Since it's a Judged Challenge, there is an added twist.  The twist part of challenge is thrown down by Marie:
2-1-4   (2 ribbons, 1 embellishment, 4 layers)
In honor of the holiday (and since I needed a card/gift for my sweetie!), I went with a Valentine's Day theme and created a box for chocolates along with the scrapling. I used the this TUTORIAL on Splitcoast Stampers for this quick and easy box.

Our sponsor this week is DRS Designs who carries this heart circle which coodinates perfectly with the Marvy Giga punch.

Be sure to admire the TMS Design Team's spin on this week's challenge:
Then link up your creations HERE to join in the fun and so we can admire your take on this sketch and enter your name in the drawing to win a prize from our sponsor!

Chocolate Birthday Wishes

Chocolate is always a good idea for any celebration, right? I made these Ghiradelli treat boxes for two friends that are celebrating birthdays this month-- Deb today and Vicki on the 29th.

Thanks going out to another buddy, Tracy, for demoing this box construction for me. There's a great tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers, but I am always a bit intimidated by 3-D projects, stemming from my sorely lacking spatial comprehension abilities.

The treat boxes actually coordinate with previously posted cards. This is one for a Magnolia Card Kit Swap:

Stamps: Magnolia 'Strawberry Tilda' and sentiment. Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, ki memories DP 'Shimmery Juicy Summer', Papertrey white. Ink: Memento black, Copics, Certainly Celery, Rose Red. Accessories: Oval and circle Nestabilities, Cuttlebug Flower dies, primas, brads, Bazzill gingham ribbon.

And this is a card based on a Midnight Madness Sketch challenge:

Stamps: Inkadinkado kid sentiment. Cardstock: Basic Grey 'Archiver', My Mind's Eye 'Simply Delightful', Chocolate Chip, Whisper White. Ink: Chocolate Chip. Accessories: Long Rectangle Nestabilities, primas, brads.

Be sure to join me in showering these special gals with loads of birthday wishes!
