Thanksgiving Goodies, Non-edible Style!
This fun Thanksgiving goodie idea comes from the 'Under the Table and Dreaming' blog (sounds perfect for Thanksgiving, doesn't it??) who describes it as a perfect hostess gift idea. I agree, but since we aren't able to share dinner with friends or family this year, the girls and I made them as gifts for the nurses and teachers, as well as friends.
The recipe for this sugar exfoliating, moisturizing scrub is HERE; it is very basic -- only requiring brown sugar, granulated sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and sunflower oil. Despite what the title says, the scrub smelled so yummy that the girls had to taste test. Yes, it is edible, but we wouldn't recommend it.
Instead, rub a small amount on dried hands and rinse with warm water for a soft touch!
Since no gift may go unadorned, I printed out the attached free circle labels and added some fun DP and a raffia bow. I also included a sticky label with directions, just in case it was a little confusing on the whole edible part!
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Paper Pretties Challenge #180: Non-traditional Christmas
Stamps: Paper Pretties " O Christmas Tree". Cardstock: Paper Studio 'Happy Hootin Holidays', Papertrey white. Ink: Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Wild Wasabi. Accessories: Martha Stewart scallop border, Nestabilities rectangles.
When it comes to Christmas, I am a traditional kind of girl -- it's red and green all the way! Paper Pretties Weekly Challenge #180 was a real challenge because I had to shift gears and go with the non-traditional colors. And you know what? It was fun!
OK, red and green still made their appearance, but at least they didn't dominate the show!
I am enjoying revisiting old friends and challenges; this sketch is courtesy of Midnight Madness sketch challenge #130. I went with the CAS version, rotated on its side. Hello, MMSC friends!
